Member School districts that need technology consultation and services can turn to Pikes Peak BOCES for assistance. BOCES IT helps member districts purchase appropriate computers and technology systems to support instruction.

Established in 1998 with 1 part-time employee, BOCES IT provided computer and limited server support for member districts. Today, with a staff of 3, BOCES IT has grown to support the technology needs of districts with the following services:
 

  • Internet Service Provider (ISP) and web host
    • Internet access, web hosting and DNS management
  • Protective Services
    • Firewall, antivirus and content filtering
    • Spam and antivirus filtering for email
  • Computer/Server installation and repair
    • A+, MCP and MCSE certified technicians that provide on-site services for consortium districts
  • Project Coordination/Management
    • District wide technology migration and implementations
    • Vendor Relations
  • Purchasing Services
    • Software and hardware purchases
    • Working with vendors and consortium districts to get the best possible prices

Purchasing Services

Through cooperative purchasing, BOCES IT can secure the best possible price for small school districts. In addition, BOCES IT staff will help set-up, network and troubleshoot district's technology systems and train district staff to be on-site technology support.
