Suicide Risk AssessmentABOUT
This comprehensive training, based on the work and with the permission of Dr. Jonathan Singer, Dr. Scott Poland, and Dr. Terri A. Erbacher equips school staff with the knowledge and tools needed to effectively address suicide risk in students. Participants will explore critical statistics and trends, as well as the legal and policy considerations relevant to schools. The training covers essential topics such as identifying risk factors and warning signs, providing a foundation for early intervention.
Attendees will gain instruction on using a suicide risk assessment protocol, which includes a screener and assessment, creating an individualized safety plan, implementing effective follow-up strategies and a monitoring tool to ensure ongoing support. Prevention strategies and postvention approaches will also be discussed empowering schools to foster a proactive and resilient environment.

Adaptive Schools Seminar
OUTCOMES
In the four-day Adaptive Schools Foundation Seminar, participants will develop:
- An increased capacity to initiate, develop and sustain high functioning groups
- New lenses for diagnosing the stages and phases of group development
- An expanded repertoire of practical facilitation tools
- Understandings of when and how to engage groups in dialogue and discussion, the limitations, forms, and values of each
- Skills to move groups beyond consensus to common focus
- Ways to value and use dissension, argument, and conflict
- Strategies for keeping group members on track, on topic, energized and resourceful

Evaluator Designee Training
ABOUT
This training is for teachers and/or evaluator designees to become Approved Teacher Evaluators on CDE's current rubric. School administrators can send any leader from their school to become an approved Teacher Evaluator to support the evaluation process in their school.
Participants will review the Colorado teacher and service provider rubrics, review Colorado law for teacher evaluation, learn about the timelines for evaluation, get better acquainted with RANDA, understand key components of effective feedback and better understand best practices.
The goal is to be an impactful evaluator with an understanding of the continuous improvement model concerning teachers’ ongoing growth and supervision. Participants will earn a certificate allowing them to serve as a teacher evaluator in their school.
NOTE: This is NOT the required CDE licensure renewal of E-Train Part I or II for administrators.

As teachers, we are responsible for teaching all students assigned to our classrooms. Doing this well is where Culturally and Linguistically Responsive Teaching (CLRT) comes into play. You can battle the students to get them where you want them to be, or you can use CLRT strategies to ENGAGE, EMPOWER, and ENTICE them to meaningfully interact with the curriculum. Culturally and Linguistically Responsive Teaching (CLRT) strategies will strengthen your teaching and rapport with your students.

Academic Conversations for Content LearningABOUT
Academic language development is a pathway to equity. And what better way to develop students’ use of academic language than to have them use it to hold rigorous academic conversations. With rigorous state standards and expectations, academic language is the means of reaching high academic expectations as it is the language used for describing the thinking, complex processes, and abstract ideas that are valued in school. This course provides ways to address academic language at the point of planning and delivery to create high-quality learning. The information in this course will greatly benefit all students, and this focus on the development of academic language through academic conversations is a critical component for the instruction of Multilingual Learners.

Literacy Development for Multilingual LearnersABOUT
